Welcome to the most advanced supplement filter anywhere in the world! The Supplement Database rates 4,860 products made by 1,136 manufacturers in 16 distinct categories. Sifting through them can get daunting. This filter provides eight ways to narrow your search and find the perfect product.

Each tab below represents a different filter. Expand each filter to see which options are available to narrow a search. You may use as few or as many filters as you'd like. If you don't get enough results, select fewer filter options. If you get too many results, select more filter options.

Note: Due to the fundamentally different way in which protein supplements are used, this filter does not include those products. To search for protein supplements, use the protein filter.

This section allows you to filter by manufacturer. Select the manufacturers below to include in your search.

This section allows you to filter by ratings. The database rates products in seven areas with a thumbs up or down. These ratings are based on specific criteria which you can read about at: How does the database rate supplement products?

If a product receives at least four thumbs up, it also receives an overall thumbs-up rating. This filter narrows your search to products with a thumbs-up rating in the areas selected below.

Rated Area

This section allows you to filter by ingredients contained in a product.

This section allows you to filter products without certain ingredients. For example, if you want to avoid products containing caffeine and beta alanine, select those ingredients below. The results will only show products without those two ingredients.

This section allows you to filter by label transparency. A product's label transparency refers to the number of ingredients listed with amounts. If a product lists all ingredient amounts, its label transparency is 100. A product that does not list any ingredient amounts gets a 0. For example, if you enter 70, the filter will only display products with a nutrition label transparency of 70% or higher.

This filter narrows your search to products with a minimum transparency score entered below. Read more about the importance of disclosing all ingredient amounts: What are proprietary blends?

All products are rated on their ability to deliver on specific claims (examples: increasing strength, decreasing body fat, lowering blood pressure). These claim specific ratings are based on products' ingredient profiles. This filter narrows your search to products that are moderately or extremely effective at delivering the claims selected below. Begin typing the name of a claim to filter the list.
